Georgina is a teacher determined to make a difference in the lives of the children she teaches in the classrooms of a wagon school in rural Mexico. Young Ikal (Kaarlo Isaac) and his family live on a cross-country train. His father Thomas repaired and built the railroad tracks. It means that the family never stays in the same place for too long. But at their final stop, Ikal makes three new friends who later study under Georgina (Adriana Barraza), a relentless teacher who will do anything for her students with little she has.
